A few days ago, on a normal day, the sun was shining bright yet it was a chilly day outside. When I felt the breeze I wished I was wearing a jacket. There were no clouds in the sky, yet it still felt misty as if it was about to rain. I ran home just in case it started pouring, but it never rained. I decided since I had spare time to finish organizing my notes on a source I analyzed. I went on my balcony drank tea, and worked on my book about Japanese Civilian Life after WW2, about 2 minutes later was when I saw an older man walk out of the Cafe.
I didn't know who he was at the time, he really did look like a local as if he had been living here for the majority of his life, he got coffee and was walking back toward The Maitland. He was on his phone, he knew where he was going and barely took his eyes off the screen it was clearly second nature to him. He walked into The Maitland and I assume he went to his apartment. That wasn’t the last time I saw him before the incident.
For some unknown reason, my electricity had gone off the night before, I thought it was throughout the whole building and assumed it would come back in the morning. However to my surprise when I woke up it was still out, yet the neighbors never had any electrical problems. Someone had turned off my electricity! I asked a neighbor where the main electrical circuit breaker panel was for my room. She told me to go talk to Mr. Evans, he was very friendly and helped me fix my electricity, that was the next and last time I saw him.
